Your Trainer

Matt Costello, MBA in a Day

Matt Costello has had over 25 years in sales and marketing and combines his practical, hands on operational experience with a robust theoretical framework grounded in the latest evidence based management theories. He has an enthusiasm for bringing new technologies to market and then commercialising them.

Matthew is Managing Director of Greensill Capital, an independent financial services firm and principal investor group specialising in structured trade finance, working capital optimisation and specialty financing. He also founded Growth Accelerator, a consultancy business focused on helping business owners build value through the management of revenue and profit growth and risk management (corporate and commercial governance).

Working in previous senior executive and finance roles of listed IT&T services business Anittel, and investment banking firm Newport Capital, and US based mobile marketing business 5th Finger, Matthew raised over $30m in investment capital, exiting several local businesses to multi-national buyers collectively worth almost $100m.

Matthew co-founded mobile marketing business 5th Finger which sold to ninemsn in 2005 and was also involved in the successful start-up 5th Finger International in the US then sold to Merkle in 2012.

Matthew completed an MBA and a Masters Degree in Finance Management from MGSM and has over 15 years experience in building businesses from start-up to exit. He remains active advising boards and management on investment and divestment decisions and continues to mentor and advise several online start-ups and digital agencies.
